Gertrude Bell (14/07/1868 – 12/07/1926)

At the age of twenty-five, she dedicated herself to exploring the Middle East, particularly archaeological sites like Petra and ancient Babylon, taking thousands of photographs and gathering information and insights into the Arab world. Her expertise allowed her to play a key diplomatic role in the birth of modern Iraq.
